The sunday march, which started from piazza d’Armi then reached the lower side of the city; where in via Mameli in the Stampace neighbourhood it was charged by many police squads, that surrounded the demonstration all over its way. The messy charge continued for several dozens of meters, erupting into aggressions against individual demonstrators. No one was arrested, but several dozens of people were bruised.

A mood of tension was already prepared for the occasion in these days: the city was militarized and the ambulances were reserved by the police headquarters for the sunday demonstration. On saturday some detentions and controls by the police hit the participants to the camp. Between thursday and wednesday twelve fogli di via* were notified at the moment of the arrival in Sardinia of some people going to the camp, with the ridiculous order of returning to their city of residence within 24 hours. Lastly, the car of some no tav youngsters, which came to the island in solidarity with the struggle against the bases, was damaged by piercing its tires. In the end, an unacceptable mood of police reprisal came along with the three days of mobilization. Yet, the No Bases activists did not bend, and pursued with determination their initiatives of struggle, empowered by the courage that bring people many times in the past year closer to the bases, by cutting their fences and thus taking away the “necessary serenity” to the execution of the military activities.
