On monday the resistance of the Bolognese warehouse workers managed to stop all the interport and the Bologna-Padua highway for hours, arousing the repressive initiative ordered by the city Police Department – who did not spare a number of antiriot police wagons, that after some hours managed to evict the resisting picket organized by the SI Cobas grassroots union. On tuesday the blockade of the Mr.Job and Geodis logistic companies warehouses – both linked to the activity of Yoox, one of the main multinational corporations operating in the interport – continued. The activities in the warehouses were actually canceled, creating heavy losses to the company and bringing with the struggle solidarity to the 8 workers fired by Mr.Job and to the Geodis ones.

Meanwhile, in the housing occupations assemblies, the next steps ahead are being discussed – in order to abolish Article 5 [of the Lupi housing plan, that prevents connection to gas/electricity/water services and taking residence in a occupied house, making also impossible to access other welfare services requiring it – TN] and defend the occupations: the next appointment is the arrival of the minister of infrastructures Delrio for the opening of the SAIE in Bologna, the fair of the real estate speculators, where the children of the housing struggle movement decided to mobilize; and give their contribute to the campaign promoted by the Abitare nella Crisi (Living in the Crisis) network with a clear title: “Stop try erasing children! Let’s abolish Article 5!”.

From the university area, on the other hand, the campaign launched by the “Studenti contro il nuovo calcolo ISEE” (Students against the new ISEE parameter) starts to make a name for itself by compelling the Emilia Romagna regional Councilman for Education to acknowledge the disaster provoked by the Renzi government with the ISEE parameter reform, a real factory of bogus wealthy and new poors that, for tens of thousands of university students, meant to be kicked out from an already meager student welfare.

And while the university students herald battle, a long assembly on monday promoted by the Collettivo Autonomo Studentesco (Autonomous Student Collective) and partaken by high school students, university students, teachers and professors reviewed the struggle of the education sector in Bologna; already aiming to the day of nationwide mobilization on October 2, in which the reasons of the struggle against the Buona Scuola (Good School) bill, the university reform and Jobs Act [various bills by the Renzi government attacking school public funding and autonomy and making labour market more precarious – TN]. Will meet in order to wage battle together.

The autumn of social conflict has just started; and, among the interport, periphery, university area and schools it warms up with the early struggles and resistances of the season; a new challenge is opening up in the city, where real struggles and social conflicts are ready to challenge this wicked, Renzi-fashioned, time!
